Robert read Classics and Law at Cambridge. Called to the Bar 1968 and worked in the law for 5 years. Joined Gill & Duffus Group in 1972 as group research manager. In 1980 set up Primary Commodity Research Ltd. He has considerable experience of cocoa and coffee farms in Africa, Brazil and Indonesia. Looks after the office admin and all PCR's commercial responsibilities. Fluent in Brazilian Portuguese.
Pascal has an M.Sc in Software Engineering and started his career as an IT engineer. Always up for a challenge he changed job and trained for 2 years in Uganda as coffee trader. Then worked in senior roles in Laos, Vietnam, Ghana and Ecuador. Pascal manages the sustainability systems, traceability, certification, and processing modules. French native speaker with working knowledge of Spanish.
Vlad has an MSc in Object Orientated Information Systems and Software Engineering from City University. He has worked tirelessly on PCR systems for 20 years. Vlad knows a thing or two about trading, warrant management systems and LIFFE/LME integration. He is currently focused on collateral, repo and trade finance initiatives. Vlad speaks more than one Balkan language.
Simon studied Economics and Business Computing. He started his career as the risk and optimisation lead in an oil trading room. He then worked as a business consultant across Africa, South America, Eastern Europe, Asia and Australia for a number of multinational commodities companies, directing operational improvement and systems programmes. Simon looks after project management, professional services and has knowledge of ERPs, CTRM and Commercial Agricultural Trading. Simon speaks French and some Hungarian.
Amy is an experienced Development practitioner. She has worked on large donor programmes (£40m+ UK-DfID, USAID and World Bank) and commercial commodity programmes across a range of markets for rural finance and gender sensitive initiatives. Amy has worked in over 20 countries including Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Peru and Indonesia often focusing on agricultural projects including softs, grains, horticulture and livestock. Amy's skills support our agri-economic development and contract farming capability.
Ammo has had the privilege of working across a multitude of categories in the retail and FMCG spaces, including supermarkets, producers, farmers, wholesalers, own-label and branded suppliers alike, having previously worked in the City of London as a commodities trader with an extensive network across various banks, brokers, trading houses, producers and end users. Ammo’s mission has been helping those businesses to protect themselves against volatile commodity markets – specialising in obscure markets such as juices, dairy, salmon, grains, softs, metals and energy.
Yang is our reference point for all things exchange integration related. He has a great working knowledge of establishing real-time execution integration and warrant management solutions. Yang also has led development projects for PCR particularly focusing on contract and risk management.
